PPRA 2025 Trust Account Audit Report Submission Deadlines

Brought to you by SA Accounting Academy: In terms of section 54(5)(b) and section 54(6) of the Property Practitioners Act, No. 22 of 2019, the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA) has issued a notification regarding the mandatory submission of trust account audit reports for the 2025 financial year.

Business property practitioners who do not hold a valid trust account exemption letter and have a financial year ending 28 February 2025 are required to ensure their auditors submit the relevant trust account audit reports to the PPRA. The statutory deadline for these submissions is 31 August 2025.

The Authority has explicitly stated that no requests for extensions to this deadline will be considered or granted. Principals of business property practitioners are responsible for communicating these requirements to their auditors to ensure compliance with the Property Practitioners Act.

  • Applicable Entities: Business property practitioners without trust account exemption letters.
  • Year-End Date: 28 February 2025.
  • Submission Deadline: On or before 31 August 2025.
  • Submission Method: Reports must be submitted by the registered auditor directly to the PPRA.
