The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission has deployed an automated Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Module, providing accredited law enforcement agencies with 24-hour, real-time access to corporate ownership records and verification filings.
The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission has implemented an update to its eServices platform to validate customer profiles and prevent the use of duplicate contact details. The CIPC has announced routine on-site and virtual inspections to verify beneficial ownership submissions under the Companies Act and GLAA. In terms of the Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008, the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) has issued Customer Notice 28 of 2026, warning companies of enforcement actions and administrative penalties for failing to submit their annual Compliance Checklists.
