IFRS Foundation Releases E-Learning for ISSB Standards
Brought to you by SA Accounting Academy: The IFRS Foundation has introduced a suite of e-learning modules designed to facilitate the practical application of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Standards.
In terms of the reporting framework established by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), the IFRS Foundation has released four self-paced e-learning modules via the IFRS Sustainability Knowledge Hub. These modules are specifically designed to support the implementation of IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures.
The curriculum is structured to build foundational knowledge for companies and stakeholders preparing for sustainability-related financial disclosures. The modules include the following components:
- An introduction to the core requirements of IFRS S1 and IFRS S2;
- Interactive knowledge checks and visual content to illustrate disclosure requirements;
- Assessments consisting of multiple-choice questions; and
- A certificate of completion for users who successfully finish the assessment.
Each of the four modules is designed to be completed in less than one hour. The resources are available at no cost to users with an active IFRS.org account. This initiative follows the global drive toward standardized sustainability reporting, providing a structured pathway for preparers to align their reporting with international benchmarks.
