Brought to you by SA Accounting Academy: The SAICA 2026 Training Regulations have been issued to govern the training of trainee accountants at Registered Training Offices.

The SAICA 2026 Training Regulations provide the regulatory framework for the training of trainee accountants and are effective from 1 January 2026. These regulations replace previous iterations and apply exclusively to Registered Training Offices (RTOs) and the administration of training contracts for prospective Chartered Accountants [CA(SA)] and Associate General Accountants [AGA(SA)].

In addition to the core regulations, SAICA has published the 2026 Training Office and Training Contract fees. These updates include revised administrative costs for office registration and the annual levy per trainee accountant. The regulations and supplementary documents were circulated to training offices in January 2025 to facilitate planning for the 2026 implementation cycle.
