The Standing Committee on Finance has issued a call for written submissions regarding the South African Reserve Bank Amendment Bill, which proposes the full nationalisation of the central bank. Parliament has called for public comment on four legislative proposals, including amendments to the Income Tax Act and the repeal of the Municipal Demarcation Act, with a submission deadline of 30 June 2025. The Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development has invited written submissions on the Judicial Matters Amendment Bill, with a deadline of 10 July 2025. Parliament is currently processing 36 Bills, including replacement legislation tabled alongside the revised 2025/26 Budget. The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) Appropriations Committee has invited public comment on the replacement 2025 Division of Revenue and Appropriation Bills, alongside the Public Sector Pension & Related Payments Bill.
